About Us

This is me! My cute little kids and my loving husband. I feel impressed to introduce myself and share with you why I breed dogs. For those of you not aware there is an over abundance of puppies available right now. If you’ve ever wanted a puppy now is a good time to get one. And it’s in this time that I would like to explain why I breed dogs. I breed dogs because I believe all animals are commanded by God to multiple and replenish the earth that they might feel the measure of their creation and find joy in their posterity. In short, I believe all animals want to produce off spring and it brings them joy.

All of my guardian homed dogs love me and love to see me or come with me, their guardian home owners say, she or he doesn’t react that way to anyone else! They love it. It brings them happiness! And I feel I can assist in this process and make sure that the offspring being produced is the best in the breed! That means health testing, including OFA/PennHIP hips, hearts, elbow, patellas, eyes, and DNA clearances. That means temperament testing and puppy curriculum protocol including ENS, ESI, sight and sound exposure,  maning, crate training, groom training  and daily enrichment activities. That means vaccinations and deworming. That means multiple visits with the puppies. It’s beyond expensive.

Do I make money?

Yes, on most litters.

Would I do it if I didn’t make money, maybe one litter once in a while. But not to the extent that I do it now.

This is my full time job, and I am working full time 24/7 to raise the best puppies I can. We have never received a negative review on temperament/ personality or trainability.

We produce excellent puppies and bring so much love and joy to so many dogs and families. We LOVE WHAT WE DO! And appreciate your support.

As far as qualifications go, I have been breeding since 2013. At first, I bred the two dogs that my parents owned. I grew up working summers and branding/ hay seasons on a cattle ranch. My main job was administering vaccinations. I have a lot of experience providing care to animals, including stitches, birthing, neonatal care and blood loss control. And I love it.

My name is Brittanie, I was born and raised in Provo, UT. My husband, Daniel, is from Salt Lake City, UT. We are both from large families and love it! We are well on our way to having our own large family with our five young children. Addison age 6, Brooklyn age 5, Quinten age 3, Harvey age 1 and Taysom who is 8 weeks old. My husband and I are runners and often take our dogs running and camping with us. Raintree is the name of a horse racing stable in the TV series Wildfire, one of my favorite shows as a youth. Yep, it’s pretty random. I was anxious to get started and this was the name I choose.

When I was about twelve years old our young female family dog, Wrinkles, a Shar-pei mix, had a litter of puppies. None of us knew they were coming until just before they were born. There were eight beautiful shar-pei/lab mix puppies. They were the cutest animals I had ever seen, and I was in love. I loved those puppies so much and searched to find them all homes but failed. Just after they turned 8 weeks old, we turned them over to the local Pet Store. The next day, my parents had our family dog spayed. We were surprised to later learn that the pet store not only found homes for all our puppies, they charged $350 each, for the puppies we gave them for free. I missed those puppies so much, and that’s where it all started, the seed was planted. From then on, I wanted to have another litter of puppies. But what to Breed? And how?

I have done countless hours of research since then. I looked into every breed available, pros and cons of the different breeds. I wanted to be able to see any dog, or any mix and know exactly what breed or breeds it was. I studied all I could about dogs. It wasn’t until I was about 23 years old, that I learned about Doodles. All I knew at first was that they could sell for tons of money.

With that in mind, I bred my mother’s dog Scout, a pit bull border collie mix, she looked a lot like a black lab, to a white Standard Poodle. We hoped to get puppies similar in appearance to Labradoodles. I repeated this breeding 4 more times with different Standard poodles. We had several families contact us for a second puppy. They loved our dogs. But they looked silly!

Every Standard poodle I met during the process was amazing! And I fell in love with standard poodles. The more I learned, the more I liked them. I decided that I would breed Doodles but keep Standard Poodles. Over time my fondness for Standard Poodles has not changed, thus I have decided to focus my breeding program on Standards.

I love everything about Standard Poodles. My first Standard was Lucy. Lucy is truly my closest friend and I love her. Even though I could make a lot more money, with a lot less hassle; no purebred registration, no tails to dock or dew claws to be removed, no DNA testing or OFA hip testing, breeding doodles, I wanted to breed Standards. Now how to get started?

I started asking lots of questions about breeding the right way. I did five litters with my mother’s dog scout, but I would have classified myself as a backyard breeder, learning as I went. I wanted to become a high-quality kennel that did everything right. So, I asked questions and I was told that if I didn’t already know the answers, I shouldn’t be a breeder. This was discouraging. Until I met Jeanine from Mustang Hills Kennel in Herriman, Ut. She did everything right and had been breeding for 30+ years. She became my mentor and 24/7 aid as I embarked on my first littler.

I have learned so much from then, and I still have a desire to do everything right. I want to breed superior puppies. We do this by researching pedigrees, DNA/Health and temperament tests, early vaccination/ deworming treatments, we follow “Breeding Better Dogs” early neurological stimulation, we follow puppy culture protocol, providing just the right stressors at just the right time to foster resilient, confident temperaments. We focus on potty directing as well as incorporate early groom training, crate training and leash training. I spend hours each day researching other kennels for ideas and ways to improve.
